Board of Governor Meetings
Your Wilshire Bar Association Board of Governors generally convenes the first
Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.
Our next Board meeting is Tuesday, June
5, 2012. If you have any ideas how our Wilshire Bar may continue to
contribute to our Bar and our Community, or any suggestions for events or

Your
Wilshire Bar Association provides
activities and opportunities for attorneys in and around Wilshire Boulevard from Santa Monica to
downtown Los Angeles, California, including Continuing Education
of the Bar, Educational Interaction with the Judiciary, Links to Legal
Resources, Networking, and Community Out-Reach Programs.
We
particularly look forward each year to our "Bench and Bar" Dinner
and our Appellate Justices Luncheon.

ANNUAL DAY
AT THE RACES AT HOLLYWOOD PARK IN INGLEWOOD – MAY 19, 2012
On May 19, 2012 we will have our annual Day at the Races at Hollywood
Park Race Track. The track is located at 1050 S. Prairie Avenue in
Inglewood. The $30 per person cost of
the event gets you admission, valet parking, a program and lunch! As a bonus, the second leg of racing’s
“Triple Crown,” the Preakness at Pimlico Race Track in Maryland, will be run
that day, and it will be simulcast at the track, along with the live racing
action. The first race is generally
run around 12:30 but keep watching for further information about that as the
event date draws closer. Reservations
are required and should be made at least 10 days prior to the event, as
seating is limited. Please

APPELLATE JUSTICES LUNCHEON AT THE KYOTO GRAND
HOTEL– June 6, 2012.
On June 6, 2012 commencing at
noon we will have our Annual Appellate Justices Luncheon. It will take place at the Kyoto Grand Hotel
located at 120 South Los Angeles Street, in downtown Los Angeles, 90012. The speaker will be Bruce W. Bennett, a
Senior Defense Analyst at the Rand Corporation. The topic will be North Korea, China and
the Nuclear Threat. The cost of this
event is $50 per person. Reservations are required and should be made as soon as possible, as
